About CompressVideo

CompressVideo is a browser-based video toolkit at compressvideo.im. We help you compress video, convert formats, trim clips, mute audio, watermark drafts, and extract audio without uploading your media to a server for encoding.

The site is independently operated. Product, privacy, or correction requests can be sent to support@compressvideo.im. We publish concrete browser limits instead of claiming that every codec, device, or file size will work.

What you get

How it works

Modern browsers expose WebCodecs and related APIs. CompressVideo loads its media engine when you start a job, processes the file in your tab, and returns a downloadable result. That architecture keeps sensitive recordings on your machine. Page analytics are separate from the media path and must never contain selected file contents.

What we are not

We are not a cloud transcoder farm, not a full multi-track editor, and not affiliated with Discord, WhatsApp, Slack, Apple, Google, or other platforms we mention as descriptive size targets.
